Here's my 1968 Oldsmobile Vistacruiser stationwagon. It has the optional 400cu. V8 , aut.trans and even powerwindows and cold AC ! Pretty nice , original car with older paint and original untouched interior. Now , you may ask , what the heck is JP doing with a car like that ? Simple , my friends ; I sometimes relive my past just like you guys..I had a identical car back in the 1970's in Holland where I lived at the time , and drove that car from Holland to Marocco and back ! Yes , it was hippietime back then , and it was quite a trip , haha ! I have included a picture of my ol' cruiser in front of the old house I was fortunate enough to grow up in. ( well , I never REALLY grew up , ofcourse ! ) Anyway , I looked for a long time to find a 1968 Vistacruiser , but you hardly ever see one , and never a '68 , so when this car was offered online in Canada , I figured it was time for a roadtrip ! So , we flew to Calgory , drove an hour North , bought the car , drove thru the Canadian Rockies and down into the U.S. ,Montanaway , west to Seattle and then made our way down to Pebblebeach for the Classic car circus week in Monterey. Trucked it to Florida , and here we are..Now it's time for the next temporary caretaker to have some fun with this great car! She runs and sounds great ( double " glasspacks " exhaust gives a great sounding growl ) and apart for some area in bottom of doors that has some surface rust , I did'nt see any rust issues. And although presentable now ,with a new paintjob this car would look fabulous and be worth in the $20's or even more , since they're so rare. The front seats have some minor moth holes in them , but only the cloth part , which can be replaced easily. All chrome looks great and the paint is shiny , although it does have some flaws like chips etc.The engine runs smooth and quiet , and she shifts and brakes great.The AC blows cold , but it does not blow out of the vents very hard. All in all , a coooool cruiser !! Asking only $13,500 and can ship anywhere on the Globe. Take a look at the 2 movies of walk around and hear the nice exhaust sound as well !
